Can Knowledge Preserve Your Right
to Be Healthy?
By Byron Richards, CCN
July 22, 2006
Health is far and away a person’s most
important asset. Protecting this asset from accelerated decay
is no small challenge. Indeed, the cards are stacked against
the individual.
There are many obstacles to health. Our
land, water, and air are heavily polluted with disease-provoking
toxins. Our food supply contains various adulterations in the
form neuro-toxic pesticides, preservatives, coal-tar derived
coloring agents, MSG, genetically modified food (that express
the Bt toxin in every cell), excessively processed food, too
much sugar/corn syrup and artificial chemical sweeteners, and
high-fat junk food. Big Pharma promotes and excessively pushes
toxic drugs on society, in far greater excess than their true
need.
It is bad enough that doctors receive no
credible training in the therapeutic use of nutrition and other
natural health options. Now, a new generation of tech-driven
doctors has lost sight of patient-centered care, wherein the
physician is the true advocate for the patient. The sun is
setting on the days when a doctor spent the time to truly
understand your concerns, know your history, and understand you
personally. Importantly, it is patient-centered care that
inspires hopefulness, which is as at least as powerful as any
drug.
A juggernaut drug-dispensing machine has
replaced patient-centered care. In this conveyor-belt approach,
a person is little more than a box moving along an assembly
line. The person’s numbers and blood are analyzed; results are
processed through a cost-containment managed care system and Big
Pharma dogma. Doctors are held in line by
administrative/financial pressures and their licensing boards.
The production line is far from perfect, injuring at least 1.5
million Americans per year and sending another 100,000 to their
graves.
Health officials think the answer is to
improve the production line—electronically automate all
prescriptions, put radio frequency identification chips in
everyone’s arm, and place a person’s DNA in an FDA owned
super-computer. Lost in this equation of “improvement” is the
patient, whose thoughts, feelings, and experiences are
irrelevant compared to the behavior of his or her cells. This
isn’t science fiction; it’s the FDA’s new plan of healthcare for
the 21st century.
In order to implement this highly
controlled version of health, all competition to Big Pharma must
be eliminated. Number one on the hit list is the therapeutic
use of nutrition. The FDA goes out of its way to trample the
First Amendment and prevent you from understanding your health
options. If people understood they could employ a variety of
safe and effective health options, instead of poisonous drugs,
there would be little confidence in the corrupt drug-pushing
cartel. Of course, healthy and free people are incredibly
difficult to oppress. The sickness industry profits from
keeping people sick. A warped government has discerned that a
sick and de-energized population is docile and easy to
manipulate.
I have sat on the front lines of applied
clinical nutrition for over twenty years. My office has been a
place of last hope for many individuals and I have personally
helped thousands of people regain their health. I have designed
numerous high-quality nutritional products that actually do
something to improve health. One day I awoke to find out that
not only does the FDA not want you to know about anything I have
been doing for the past twenty years; they want to eliminate
effective nutritional supplements from the market.
At first, this was very difficult for me to
understand. I thought I was doing everything to be a good
citizen of this country. My wife, Mary, and I have been happily
married over twenty-five years, we have raised four healthy
children, and we have built a successful business from
nothing—based on twenty years of very hard work. People are
extremely grateful to find a path that leads to the recovery of
lost or deteriorating health. And, it was fun going to work
every day knowing that what we did was meaningful and truly
helpful.
Trying to understand why the FDA does not
want you to know how to get well led Mary and me on a path of
intense research for over six months. This resulted in my
writing, Fight for Your Health: Exposing the FDA’s Betrayal
of America. Working in a clinical world, I was not aware of
many of the details and forces at work that had sickness of
Americans as the primary agenda. I did not know the FDA wanted
to define every word relating to health as a disease, so it
would be impossible to describe how supplements help people
improve their health. I am sure the majority of Americans and
health professionals are unaware of the true tactics and plans
to keep American sick.
This personal awakening has changed my focus in life. I
am on a mission to communicate to you exactly what the
FDA and Big Pharma do not want you to know.
As a special
opportunity for NewsWithViews.com readers
and to help you understand
the importance of keeping natural health options open to
the public, I am providing a link for you to view
Chapter 18 of Fight
for Your Health. This chapter, The Illusion
of Bone Drugs, is a classic example demonstrating
misleading claims that result in major drug sales. This
fraud is knowingly permitted by the FDA. At the same
time, vital information that naturally helps bones is
suppressed by the FDA.
I believe that knowledge is
the best weapon against the forces working to keep
people sick. We must preserve health options as a
freedom for our people. Empowering you with knowledge is
fundamental to your right to be healthy.
