Biased Drug Study Reporting
Americans are beginning to catch on to the Big Pharma game. Pay for a study to be done on your company’s hottest drug prospect. If nothing good is happening try to alter the study to fit a subset of the data that might be favorable. If that doesn’t work, throw the study in the trash before word gets out that the drug is dangerous. A new review of stroke studies found that 75% of those entering the recycle bin were unfavorable, whereas 96% of those published were favorable. This follows an early report that drug studies funded by Big Pharma produce far higher favorable findings compared to the same drugs studied by an independent research group. The bottom line is clear, Big Pharma sponsored drug studies are marketing pieces, not science. Big Pharma is actively hiding adverse drug data from society.
