Big Pharma Rewards Government Scientists to Foster Support

Big Pharma has no problem paying top researchers at the National Institute of Health (NIH) for favorable sales pitch efforts.  The Los Angeles Times reports on the tip of an iceberg, highlighting several cases of influence peddling at the highest levels of “science.” How can the public possibly trust any drug study that favorably portrays the benefits of a drug?  The NIH refuses to act to discipline this perversion of science at the expense of human health, showing that there is no credibility in our federal government or in Big Pharma.  No doubt, “science for hire” is a favorite income source for many that work in government positions of power.  Consumer beware.
