FDA Advisory Panels are a Joke
The FDA advisory panels, a collection of mostly hand-picked industry friendly “experts,” have been used by the FDA to secure sales for Big Pharma in the face of serious adverse drug effects. The FDA is often criticized for the clear financial connections to drug companies, pretending that such relationships have no impact on the objectivity of such panel members.
Finally, the FDA is taking action. They are removing an FDA panelist – because the drug company doesn’t like him! Of course, this was done in a behind-the-back and backstabbing manner.
